For the first time in our nation's music history, SIAE is releasing statistics on international performance metrics. Between 2018 and 2021, there was a 7.6% increase in revenues from copyright royalties earned abroad. As highlighted in the report, a new generation of performers and songwriters, led by the worldwide success of Måneskin, is continuously expanding the boundaries of Italian music, alongside classic hits and Italian electronic music that are strengthening our repertoire's position in the global marketplace.

Alongside the Roman band, numerous classics and euro dance milestones continue to be reliable performers for Italian music internationally, with Eiffel 65 still among the most-streamed worldwide.

The urban genre, following its incredible domestic success, has also begun looking abroad. When examining the ranking of Italian songwriters under 35 most-streamed globally, Rocco Hunt appears in fourth place, Zef in fifth, followed by thasup, Charlie Charles, Mahmood, Capo Plaza, Sfera Ebbasta and many others.
